Unrivalled spherical grinding capability

Cost saving refurbishment service

Improved performance & longevity

Established in 1979, our unique grinding capability ensures the perfect sphericality of a ball valve, such that it will seal in any position, through the opening and closing process.

This unrivalled capability can be applied to both new ball valves, as well as the refurbishment of balls that have failed during operation.   Our capability can significantly increase the product life and performance of a ball valve system, relieving end users of the heavy costs associated with downtime or ball replacement.

A Pressure Technologies PLC company

Do you know that the perfect sphericality of a ball valve is possible?

Do you know that this capability can be applied to the refurbishment of ball valves that have failed during operation?

We can refurbish failed ball valves for significantly less than the cost of seeking a replacement.  And the potential cost savings don’t end there.

  • Ball valve failure is not uncommon.  The resulting downtime and ball replacement incurs heavy costs that could well be significantly reduced or avoided.

  • We can refurbish failed ball valves for a cost that is, on average, 40% less than a the cost of a replacement

  • What about turnaround? In most cases, we can refurbish a failed ball in less than half the time it would take to manufacture a replacement

  • The performance and often improved longevity of a refurbished ball also provides end users with further cost saving benefits.

Performance

Cost

  • In many cases, ball valves and seats refurbished by Martract will improve performance due to improved roundness, concentricity and surface finish than the original manufacturers balls and seats.

  • Our unique capability has been proven to guarantee ZERO leakage under API criteria for over one hour, at a test pressure of 22,500 Psi.

  • As well as performance, our capability will significantly increase the life of a valve ball system with the improved tolerances and the ability to integrate hard faced coatings (Tungsten or Chrome Carbides)
